Strategikon launches a hunt for the strategy grandmasters who can build and play out star strategies for underdog organizations. The teams will generate market entry moves, create defenses, takeover or befriend the enemy, analyze and choose mergers, watch out for offences and keep an eye on every nook and corner of the organizational lifecycle, business functions and the marketplace.

 

Organized in co-ordination with Consulting and Research Undertaking at XLRI (CRUX), Strategikon is the flagship event of Ensemble in the domains of consulting and strategy. Consulting teams, post screening will be invited to campus for rounds of simulation games and real-time problem solving.

 

Online Round

Online round will be a Quiz. The participants shall be tested on business knowledge, strategy and game theory applications.

• The questions will be objective in nature
• Some questions will have multiple options with only one correct answer
• The rest of the questions will be without options
• The scores in round 1 will be the sole evaluation criteria for shortlisting
• 8 teams will be shortlisted for the next round

On-Campus Round

The shortlisted team will battle out with their strategies in a simulated economy, with an objective of maximising profit.

• Teams will be divided in two economies of 4 each.
• The teams will compete directly in product and factor markets over multiple rounds
• Each team will devise its own strategy taking in account the demographics, access to resources and competition

• The event is open to management graduate students
• It will be a two-phase event with an online elimination round and an on-campus final round
• A team must consist of exactly 3 participants and all the participants in a team have to be from the same institute
• Any team or individual cannot be a part of more than one entry. Each entry involving such duplications is liable for disqualification

REIMBURSEMENT POLICY

• All participants visiting campus will be reimbursed to and fro 3rd AC rail fares upon submitting a copy of their tickets
• For those travelling by flight, 3rd AC rail fares will be reimbursed upon submitting a copy of their boarding pass
• The shortest distance between the participant's B-School and XLRI will be considered
• The to and fro reimbursement together for an individual will be capped at Rs. 3000/-
