This is an On-the-Spot Event, conducted in association with AXIOM, the Operations association at XLRI, which encompasses an industrial case study aiming at delivering solutions to industrial problems on the shop-floor

Quiz based – 8 to10 teams in the final round

Final round
Part A –  25% weightage

Teams will be send to an actual working location (could be a factory/bank) where they will have to observe the existing operations and come out with improvement measures.

Part B – 75% weightage

From the inputs gathered on-site and certain additional inputs that will be given to them, teams will have to develop a similar facility – a green field project. Here again the major parameters for the teams to lay focus upon will be mentioned. Teams will have to combine their skills in the field of operations as well as domain knowledge in order to design and develop this new optimized facility.

Submission and Evaluation:

Teams will have to make a presentation (Max 10 slides) addressing both these issues. Evaluation will be on a subjective basis, decided by the judging faculty.

Duration:

The quiz will be held at 11 AM on November 11. The details of the final round will then be shared with the qualifying teams. The teams can go on visit to the location anytime on November 11. The final presentation to the judges will take place from 2:30 PM on November 12.

• A team must consist of exactly 3 participants and both participants have to be from the same institute
