SOCRATES, premier IT & SYSTEMs CLUB of XLRI presents PANDORA'2011 at the behest of Ensemble'2011. This is an On-the-Spot Event, promising never-scene-before excitements and adrenaline gold-rush.
PANDORA'2011 will be conducted over four stages each testing business acumen, creativity, agile thinking, team work, street smartness and instant problem solving skills. For those of you who enjoy uncertainties and challenges, buckle up with all possible armory - for what might be a saga of wars, bluffs, board games and nerve cracking bargains. Grilling but rewarding, it promises to bring out the best in you. So gear up, and fight your way to the top. Be prepared to prove your mettle and grit, as this race is full of drive, drama, and unexpected twists and turns. And YES, the winners take it all. There is cash award for the winning teams and certificate for all finalists.

 

Round1:
It is an intense interactive game in which you have to strategically combat between soldiers. Initially you'll be given a sum of money, and a pool of soldiers each of different skill sets. You have to create your own army choosing from the pool of soldiers provided to you. Sixteen teams that survive till the end will move on to the next round.

 


Round2:
This round will test your ability to think, strategize and even collude with others to come on top. The goal would be to maximize your profit by forming patterns of territories on limited plots of lands that come at a cost. Only the shrewdest minds will be able to survive as drama will unfold and a single mistake might cost you heavily. So put on your thinking caps and experience the round of ultimate strategy. Eight teams would proceed to the next round.

 


Round3:
Can you impress others by your display of confidence - This round will be a combination of Game Theory as well as how easily you can convince others about you. It's up to you if you lie or tell the truth, but you winning or losing depends if others believe or do not believe at you. Four teams would proceed to the final round.

 

Final Round:
Gold Rush: Everyone's like a lean marathon runner here - very little resources and you have to push it hard, towards what seems like a tough hillside track, encounter hostile teams, trick them, barter with them, buy them into your side, collude or may be threaten. The team that finally outwits all kisses the checker flag. This is the ultimate test of excelling under CONSTRAINTS!

  • The event is open to management graduate students only
  • A team must consist of 2 or 3 participants and all participants can be from the same institute or from different institutes.
  • Please leave full names and details at the time of registration for certificates and awards
